Singabantu - We Are Human, We Are People

Presented by the Christopher Moller Gallery.

In her solo debut, Singabantu, Zanele Montle asks us to consider the beauty that lies within the ordinary moments. We as humans create habitual like routines that serve our purpose or our pain. Whether it be searching for belonging within society, working within our community, or simply engaging with our families - we all succumb to being human. Through Montle’s brush, the mundanity of the quotidian is elevated into a magnificent exercise in colour and deeply emotive expressionism.

“We are human, we are people” is a compilation of those insignificant moments we take for granted, yet which influence us all into becoming the beings we choose to be.
