MICHAEL GAH PRESENTS “BEAUTIFUL CREATION”
SOLO EXHIBITION
In his forthcoming solo, Accra born-and-based artist Michael Gah – challenges our consideration towards the process of forgiveness. Layered in his signature style of materials, colour and rich texture, Gah delicately drapes his figures in glorious colours – all intricately designed to represent the unfolding nature of what it means to forgive and forget. Without forgiveness the grudge quite simply is holding on to us – delaying our journey and progress.
Being greatly inspired by his mother, Gah’s pieces are to challenge the social norms for women in Africa – seeing all modern women as his inspiration, and all humans as beautiful creatures, regardless of our own emotional complexities.
